Tech Literacy Network is a youth-led nonprofit based in Ontario, dedicated to making digital education free and accessible.
We are a group of young people who grew up watching technology widen the gap between the people who understood it and the people who did not. That gap bothered us. So we decided to do something about it.
The people most likely to be scammed online, most likely to feel left behind by technology, were often the people nobody was teaching. Seniors in our communities who had built entire lives before smartphones existed and were now expected to navigate a world that had digitized almost overnight. Youth who were online every day but had never been taught how to stay safe or think critically about what they were seeing.
At the same time, we were learning about AI, cybersecurity, and digital literacy and kept thinking: this does not have to be complicated. When explained in plain language, with real examples and no condescension, these concepts are things anyone can understand. The barrier has never been ability. It is access.
"The internet is safer when everyone understands it. Tech Literacy Network exists to make that a reality, one workshop at a time."
Tech Literacy Network runs free, hands-on workshops for seniors, youth, and community groups across Ontario. Every session is designed around the people in the room: no jargon, no assumptions, no rushing. Just honest, practical learning delivered by young people who genuinely care.
We are early. We are growing. And if you are reading this, whether you run a senior center, a school, a library, or just want to learn, we would love to bring a free workshop to your community.
Every workshop is free, jargon-free, and designed for people with zero tech background.
We come to you. Senior centers, libraries, schools, wherever your people already are.
We measure confidence before and after every session so we can prove and improve what we do.
Starting in Ontario. Working toward a chapter model that can reach every province in Canada.
We work with senior centers, libraries, schools, and any community group that wants to learn. All free, always.
